La curcumina tiene importantes aplicaciones en el área biomédica, sin embargo su uso es limitado debido a su baja solubilidad. Una de las estrategias a este problema es su incorporación a diversos materiales. En esta publicación se darán detalles acerca de los avances recientes de curcumina con sistemas basados en polidimetilsiloxano.

Abstract
Curcumin has important applications in the biomedical area however its use is limited due to its low solubility. One of the strategies to this problem is the curcumin incorporation into various materials. The publication will provide details on recent advances in curcumin with polydimethylsiloxane-based systems.
